About
My name is Dan and I’m a writer and graphic design consultant.
I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember.
I’ve been published by the Philippine Daily Inquirer, China Business, Manifesto, and other digital enterprises across the world.
I did a stint as an SEO writer once. It paid the bills.
In addition to creative writing and blogging, I’m also a corporate scriptwriter. I’ve written AVPs for Ayala Malls, Lea Salonga, Dunkin Donuts, Johnson & Johnson, the United Print Media Group, the Philippine Coastguard and many other private and commercial entities.
As a graphic design consultant I have created a number of websites, logos, software GUIs, and other communicative design items for a range of international clients.
My approach to design is simple: how different can I make something without deviating from a client’s core identity and values? It’s easy to work in a box, especially if you’re used to it. I find that to break out of the box – and to give clients the best bang for their buck – one needs to flip things regularly on their head.
That and do a lot of hard work, of course. Graphic design – or more specifically developing a distinctive brand – is a brutal yet highly rewarding business. One just needs to be flexible, imaginative, and on time.
What else? I have one wife, two kids, and love drinking tea while talking about movies and theology.
I used to have an online portfolio but am working on something new. If you’re interested in hiring me as a writer or to tackle your design needs, let’s talk.

Writer, designer, father of two, husband of one. Armchair theologian. Inconsistent blogger and photographer. Still, I try.
